Introduction
Finhub has managed to achieve recognition amongst Cyprus’s Law and Accounting professionals however it has not yet achieved to integrate the international and local community of entrepreneurs. This is because for the first 2 years of operations we have been extremely busy building an amazing website with great back office functionality that enables us to monitor 100% of the operations (projects, service providers, performance of the platform and service providers etc) remotely via the platform.
In year 3 of operations we have one sole objective; being the Foody of services in Cyprus. This will be achieved via digital marketing (we have a dedicated inhouse team working on it) and physical attendance to local events, primarily of interest to expats as well as local businesses.
The role of the director would be just that; promote and grow the brand to businesses (not to service providers). This will require the director to be creative, find cost effective avenues to promote the brand to businesses so that in the end everyone in Cyprus who needs legal, accounting or immigration assistance would do it via Finhub.
Important point: Finhub is not a cost benchmarking platform. It simply replicates the real market in the digital world. What happens during physical meetings will also happen via the platform. Like upwork or fiver but for more serious professional services.
Director / Business Development Expectations
- Monitor progress of platform (front and back end)
- Monitor platforms social media results activities
- Make collaborations with local institutions (universities, event organizers etc)
- Visit businesses and present / showcase Finhub
- Take part in marketing initiatives - podcast, social media, attend events etc
- Attend events with Finhub booth
- Meet / close sponsorships
- Think outside the box to make things happen
- Make calls, follow ups etc
- Do whatever is necessary
Ultimately do what is necessary to channel leads / traffic to the platform (leads are businesses in need of legal, accounting, audit etc work)
This is not a simple task based position; the candidate needs to be creative and will be assessed based on results. An entrepreneurial spirit is required to make this happen.
The director will be in direct contact with the owner of the platform etc.
Remuneration
Fixed remuneration, with structured bonuses and equity opportunity for the right candidate.
- The remuneration depends on the candidate. It can change instantly on results.
- There will be a structured bonus scheme for leads brought to the platform - commission based (x leads = Euros y etc)
- Equity opportunity for the person who can deliver / meet the objectives.
This is a job for someone who wants to make serious money and own equity on a valuable platform that can be sold. As a result, the remuneration package will depend on a mixture of a fixed salary, bonus on specified targets and if the owner decides the person can drive the business the equity discussion will take place. Within the compensation package, the commission element would be significant to incentivise the right candidate.
